Research Assistant

Alejandro McGhee is a Research Assistant in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He also works as a Project Manager in the technology sector. Alejandro holds a bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies and Education Studies from Vassar College, along with advanced graduate degrees in African-American Studies from Columbia University and History from New York University. His research explores how the Atlantic slave trade influenced family formation and survival strategies among Black communities throughout the Atlantic world.
